Cross Park and The Missions

Some lucky writers are staying at beautiful Cross Park for the festival, an idyllic venue situated along the tranquil Macdonald River. The stunning views of the lush grazing paddocks, nestled amongst the mountains and surrounded by native Australia bushland make you feel like you are in the middle of nowhere.

Another incredible venue is The Missions, a property with 3 kms of river frontage including a sandy (sometimes muddy!) beach ideal for young and old alike. Boats can be launched from the beach, as well as float planes. Also on the property is plane landing strip and a dedicated area for radio controlled aeroplanes under the auspices of the Sydney Radio Control Society.
