TICKETING POLICY

Booking terms and conditions

The program is correct at the time of publication on this website and may be subject to change. We regret it is not possible to refund or alter completed bookings.

Tickets booked via this website do not incur booking fees. GST is not applicable to this Festival. The St Albans Writers’ Festival is not registered for the GST.

Cancelled or postponed events

All events will be held under shelter in venues distributed around the village of St Albans. Patrons accept the risk that weather they consider unsatisfactory may occur during the event and acknowledge that tickets WILL NOT be refunded or exchanged, unless a presentation or workshop is cancelled prior to the commencement of the Festival.

Presentations or workshops cancelled during the Festival DO NOT incur a refund. In the event of a last minute cancellation due to extreme circumstances the organisers will make every endeavour to substitute a presentation or workshop of equal interest and merit.

The Festival will only be cancelled if conditions are deemed dangerous. In the event of cancellation due to dangerous adverse weather conditions, either prior to or during the event, refunds will be at the point of sale. You must retain and submit your original printed ticket to claim the refund.

Access generally

Several roads and pathways leading to and between venues are in rough condition, as would be found in any country area. Access pathways between events, via local roads and streets, are affected by adverse weather conditions. The St Albans Writers’ Festival Inc. cannot accept responsibility for the risks or discomfort associated with use of roads and pathways leading to and between venues.
