Emerging writers to feature at St Albans Writers’ Festival
St Albans Writers’ Festival is pleased to announce three newly published writers for the festival line-up in September 2015:
Hunter Valley local Courtney Collins, whose first book ‘The Burial‘ received rave reviews: “This extraordinary novel – propelled by the dark, rich, talents of a truly brilliant writer – dazzles, staggers and amazes.” Elizabeth Gilbert (author of Eat, Pray, Love).
Regular valley visitor Nigel Bartlett, whose crime fiction debut ‘King of the Road‘ is an edge of your seat thriller and favourite of Graeme Blundell: “King of the Road is crammed with ideas, stylishly and gravely written, hanging elegantly between a work of popular fiction and the literary novel, no easy feat.”
And last but not least, an unusual first time novel ‘The Painted Sky‘, written by five women who rejoice in their book club name of the Booksluts! ‘The Painted Sky’ is the result of challenging themselves to write a 21st century ‘Thorn Birds’.
See all these writers together as our Emerging Writers session on Sunday 20th September. Book now.
