Gil Jones left Sydney and a teaching/research position in earth science more than thirty years ago to live and work in the Macdonald Valley. A strong interest in the natural environment, Aboriginal prehistory and contact history of Sydney’s sandstone country resulted in his first book – Wasteland, Wilderness, Wonderland.  Bulga, Bala, Boree develops the themes of ‘Wasteland’ relating to Darkinjung country and people.
