Stan Grant is a Wiradjuri man. He has been a journalist for many years, working in Australia for the ABC, SBS, and the Seven Network and as the international editor for SKY News as well as internationally, From 2001 to 2012 he worked for CNN as an anchor in Hong Kong, before relocating to Beijing as correspondent. He has won many international and Australian awards. Stan is also currently editor of Indigenous Affairs for the ABC.
He is the also author of a memoir, The Tears of Strangers, the Walkley award-winning Talking to my country. His most recent publication is the Quarterly Essay The Australian Dream.
