Prize winners

We’re excited to announce that we have no fewer than four major prize-winning guests at this year’s festival program. Sebastian Smee, art critic for the Boston Globe, brings his Pulitzer Prize winning expertise to the festival, discussing his witty and insightful The Art of Rivalry. Well-loved favourite and Booker Prize winner Tom Keneally meets with Susan Wyndham to examine a life spent writing, while Fiona McFarlane reveals the art of the short story and treats us to a fireside reading of her Dylan Thomas Prize winning collection The High Places. Finally, Academy Award winning director George Miller’s celebrated Mad Max: Fury Road will be screening in the historic School of the Arts, with Miller himself introducing the film and answering questions after the screening.
